DESIGN PRINCIPLES
Fundamentals of Design and the Built Environment I seeks to develop a broad understanding of design in the world. Architecture and industrial design students examine principles of design through investigations of the body, objects and spaces. The procedures focus on framing inquiry – setting up the ‘problem’ and the ‘process’. Drawing and modeling serve, not only as methods of re-presentation, but as informers of these focused moments of inquiry.
